The story behind the work
Now, I am learning to be patient with myself. There were seasons when I looked at other women and wondered why I wasn't where they were. I thought I was late. I thought I had missed my moment. But perhaps I was never late. Perhaps I was simply becoming. Becoming softer. Becoming braver. Becoming more certain of who I am and less concerned with who the world expects me to be. I am still growing. Still learning. Still finding pieces of myself I didn't know were there. And maybe that's the beauty of it. I don't have to have it all figured out yet, but I only have to trust the woman I am becoming in my own time.

Through painting, mixed media and other creative forms, I explore colour, details, shapes, patterns, people and everyday experiences, transforming them into works that communicate emotion, identity, culture and perspective.
