The studio
ORÉNI by Tosin is the studio of the artist, working from Lagos, Nigeria. Contact the studio at oreniluxury@gmail.com or +2349112612216. “We” and “the studio” mean ORÉNI by Tosin. “You” means the person placing an order, joining a class, or commissioning a work.
Using the site
The site shows original paintings, objects, digital books and downloads, and art classes. Prices are in Nigerian naira. Colour on a screen is an approximation of paint, cloth, and paper. Titles, sizes, and availability are maintained by the studio and may be updated. A unique work is not sold twice. If a piece is no longer available after you order, we will tell you and refund what you paid.
When a contract is made
Placing an order is an offer to buy. For Paystack, the contract begins when payment is received. For bank transfer, pay on delivery, or WhatsApp, the order is reserved and the contract begins when the studio confirms the funds or the arrangement in writing. We may refuse an order that looks mistaken, incomplete, or not genuine, and we will refund anything already taken.
Prices and payment
The price at checkout is the price of the order, plus delivery if the work is physical. Duties and taxes outside Nigeria, if any, are yours unless we agree otherwise in writing. Online card, bank, and USSD payments are taken by Paystack. We do not store full card numbers. Offline orders stay reserved until we confirm payment. Use your order number as the transfer reference.
What you are buying
An original is one painting. It leaves the studio once. A limited edition is sold until the edition is gone. An ORÉNI Luxe piece is an object or textile made from the studio’s work. A digital book or download is a file for your personal use: you may read it, print it for yourself, and paint in it. You may not resell the file, upload it publicly, or use the pictures commercially. A class place is a seat in a named term, not a recording you can pass on, unless we say the session will be recorded.
Copyright
Copyright in the paintings, photographs, books, and text stays with the artist unless a written agreement says otherwise. Buying a work gives you the object, or a personal copy of a file. It does not give you the right to reproduce the image on goods, in advertising, or online beyond ordinary private sharing of a work you own.
Classes
Class descriptions, ages, and times are on the Classes page. A place is held when payment is confirmed, or when we accept an offline arrangement. Materials for in-studio classes are provided unless the page says otherwise. Online classes need a quiet table, the materials listed, and a camera pointed at the work. Missed sessions are not replayed as a private lesson unless we offer that. Cancellation is covered in the refund policy.
Commissions
A commission begins only after we accept it in writing and any deposit we ask for is paid. The deposit is agreed before work starts. Timing, size, and subject are what we confirm, not a sketch on this website. Commissioned work is made for you and is not returnable for change of mind.
Delivery, refunds, and cancellations
How work travels, and when money comes back, is set out in the delivery policy and the refund and cancellation policy. Those pages are part of these terms.
Liability
We pack physical work for transit and repair or replace it if we or the carrier damage it, as the delivery policy describes. We are not liable for loss caused by an address you gave us that was incomplete, or for delay once a carrier has the parcel, beyond refunding delivery if the work never arrives. Nothing in these terms limits liability that Nigerian law does not allow us to limit.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. An order already placed keeps the terms that applied on the day you paid, or on the day we confirmed an offline order.
