Why Colour Matters

Colour is not decoration in the studio. It is structure, emotion, and memory at once.

Dusty rose beside charcoal. Terracotta against ivory. A thin seam of gold only where the material asks for it. I return to a close family of colours because they feel like the temperature of my world.

Children and older students already know how to look. A class is not a drill in mixing. It is a sitting: one colour, then another, then the decision to stop.
