A quiet room, the long practice of looking, and the days when the work is only waiting.
The studio is a practice before it is a place. Linen, a bowl of water, a canvas that is not yet a painting.
I believe creativity is a gift, one that has to be nurtured and practiced. That belief does not make the work easier. It makes the return honest. Some days the work is colour. Some days it is waiting.
Classes happen here and online, in small groups, for ages 8–18. We look. We do not rush the page. The timetable is on Classes.
