Art, Identity and Expression
Contemporary expression, as I live it, holds contradiction: faith and fatigue, beauty and the pressure of the day.

Through painting and other forms I look at colour, detail, pattern, people, and the ordinary day, and try to make work that can hold emotion, identity, and perspective at the same time.
Contemporary African expression, as I live it, is not a brand category. It is a way of seeing that holds contradiction: faith and fatigue, beauty and the economy, the private room and the public street.
My art is an expression of my world. The longer telling of that line is the story book. A shorter one sits with the originals.
